Location is everything and the first thing you need to decide before taking your engagement photos. Pick a place you and your partner both like, especially a place that can reflect your relationship as a couple, maybe the place where you first met each other or a place that you two feel most comfortable spending a weekend afternoon at. Don’t be afraid to incorporate your favourite hobby or activity like doing yoga or cooking a delicious meal together. Be creative and remember its all about the two of you, it’s a great time to simply focus on what you desire to do during the session as a couple, and we will help you, from a professional photographer’s perspective.

In photography, the hour or so before the sun goes down is a wonderful time to shoot portraits which we call this the “Golden Hour”. Therefore, when it’s a sunny day, we definitely want to take advantage of the golden hour when there’s the gorgeous warm light that makes your skin and hair glow. If it’s a cloudy day, even better, as it creates a soft, even light that flatters almost any subject. what we get is fully-detailed shadows and highlights that have beautiful tones rather than glaring hotspots. A normal engagement photo session is around 2-3 hours and our photographers will plan and schedule it for you based on the time of sunset.
How long will it take to get your prints?
You can expect to choose and get your prints ready 3 to 4 weeks after the shooting day. In an emergency? No worries, we can speed it up for you so just talk to us.
