Sarah: Tell us a bit about yourself and WPIC
Danielle: We are the only license wedding coordinator certification institute in Canada since 2003. We have more than 7000 members worldwide. We also go onsite to train at resorts as well.
Sarah: Where do you regularly have the training courses?
Danielle: We hold them all over Canada, in all the major cities across Canada. We also have onsite classes in Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Trinidad, Antigua, Bahamas.
Sarah: How often do you do the training courses?
Danielle: There are usually 2-3 per month, at various location. 3 times a year in Toronto.
Sarah: How often do you hold the networking event?
Danielle: We try to have it once every two month.
Sarah: Being a full service event planning company, how does photography and cinematography factor into your wedding planning process?
Danielle: That’s one of the most important absolutely. Beyond the marriage, last thing to remember is photo, it is very important to have relationship with really good photographer taking care of all those moments. And then for videography, we strongly encourage the client to be asking the photographer for help, who they will suggest works best with them for videography. Because the photos are gonna be the most important, and the videography then need to work together, and try not be out shine each other. So as the most important the photographer should know who they work best with and who they fit their style.
Danielle: And for photographer we highly recommend the client to choose photographer who measures their personality. What style are you looking for, you need to be comfortable and confident with your photographer.
Sarah: Do you have any preference for choosing photography studios or freelance photographer?
Danielle: The client’s preference is the most important, weather they like the style or not, but we will suggest photography studio more than freelance photographer, as the studio is much more reliable.
Sarah: What photos and video clips are you most excited to see post wedding day?
Danielle: I really like to seeing the couples together, some interesting photos of the couple. First look or just not a posed photo but a real photo. Thats what I like to see after the wedding day. I like to seeing the very romantic, enjoy the speech the bride is crying looking at her father, when the groom as well is watching her down the aisle, just special moment.
Sarah: Scheduling a wedding day in a proper and efficient way is one of the biggest aspects of your job. What do you wish photographers and couples knew about wedding day timelines?
Danielle: I wish couples would know that they need more time for photography, cuz photography is so important. If a couple could take their photos before the ceremony that would so wonderful. Because as we have more time for the photo session, and get more special photos, If just giving the time between the ceremony and receptions just isn’t good enough time for photography. For photographer, I would like them to know where they gonna work with them, and we also want them to have great photos, so if we can work together. We gonna get shortlist for client, so we can make it much more efficient. For photographers don’t be afraid to be work with wedding coordinator.
Sarah: As a wedding industry influencer, what are some photo worthy trends in wedding décor or design you’re seeing this year?
Danielle: Fun aspect. Especial the cakes. A lot of greenery is the trend right now. Different photo location, there’re so many different and interesting location in Toronto. Different aspect. Centre piece getting lower. A lot of hanging things as decoration as well.
Sarah: We have worked on so many beautiful weddings together. What do you think attracts you and your couples to A.Vision Studios each year?
Danielle: Easy going, so easy to work with. Professional, very accommodating, easy to contact with ,involve the community, and we love the style.
