Many time when clients come back to pick up their engagement photos, I will need to grab their names before handing out the package just to making sure. There are so many engagement/wedding phots and it is quite easy to mix them up sometimes when organizing. However, there is one couple I can just recognize them correctly without asking. Cecilia and Jimmy are such perfect match and lovely couple. I still remember how enthusiastic Cecilia was, and the big smile she had on her face for our first meeting appointment. On the other hand, Jimmy was more quiet but he was looking, listening and smiling to Cecilia during the whole conversation. Anything Cecilia suggested or liked, he would say yes without second thought. I can see the love and respect he has for her just from the way he looks at her.
“It was a Sunday morning and we just happened to both be in the St. Lawrence Market at the same time. That was the first time we saw each other, it was love at first sight.” Cecilia said, with the sweetest smile that I have never seen it on anyone before. I suggested the couple to take their engagement shoot back at St. Lawrence Market, where the fairy tale begins.
We arrived St. Lawrence Market around 2 pm on the shooting day and the market was less busy compared to weekends. At the beginning, Cecilia and Jimmy were a bit shy and not used to be followed by so many people plus cameras. We tried to talk to them and put the camera aside so they can relax first. I told them not to think about it as a shooting day, and it would be much easier to just be themselves and do whatever they do a regular date. They walked around the market, talked to each other, and even bought some food to share. The lighting photographer and I were able to capture all of their adorable moments along on the side.
Later on during the day, our crew and Jimmy planned a surprise ‘proposal’ at the spot while Cecilia was in the washroom. We were able to hide the wedding band inside of the bean mountain with the help from one of the nuts store owners. Surprisingly, Cecilia found the wedding band inside the bean very soon with joyful tear on her face. Jimmy got down on one knee and proposed to Cecilia once again in front of A.Vision Studios’ crew at the place where they first met each other. Of course, our photographer would not miss this beautiful moment under the lens.
We went out for an outdoor photo session around the St. Lawrence neighborhood during the ‘golden hour’, which is an hour before sunset. This is the best time to take any portraits using the nature lighting as a filter. Cecilia and Jimmy even brought their own bicycles and clothing to change, so we were just all enjoying a good time around the neighborhood before night time came.
It was our great honor to be chosen by the couple and share their amazing love story with the crew. Every single detail of the engagement photos is flawless and turns out to be just the way our crew personalized for them. At the end, we would want to say Thank You to Cecilia and Jimmy for giving us this opportunity to capture your precious moments!
Hope you guys enjoy the photos!
